Galveston to do $4.8M beach restoration project

The Galveston County Daily News (http://bit.ly/1qCs5sm ) reports city officials on Monday announced the project. Officials say the dune is necessary due to rapidly eroding nature of the area and its relative closeness to Farm-to-Market 3005, which is a hurricane evacuation route.
